Second Annual "Walk Off Hunger"
Community-wide Walk
To benefit the Food Bank Of
WNY
Hi Fellow Walkers:
I am pleased to inform you that the Food Bank of WNY is
holding its 2nd annual walkathon, Walk Off Hunger, on
Sunday, August 2 at 11 AM in Williamsville. We are
hoping that you will be able to join us again this
year.
Last year Walk Off Hunger raised enough money to provide
137,000 meals to the WNY community. Due to the
current economic crisis, the need to feed families has
escalated 11% from last year. You can help by
signing up to walk with us.
This community-based family
friendly 2 mile walk begins and ends at Temple Beth Am
at 4660 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville. Check-in
starts at 10 AM and the walk begins at 11 AM. You
can go online at: www.FoodBankWNY.org to
register. Attached please find the walker
brochure, which is loaded with information, has a mail
in registration form (if you prefer) and a pledges
form.
The 2009 Walk Off Hunger will be held in
memory of Cantor Susan Wehle, who along with 49 other
special people, perished on Flight #3407.
We look forward to seeing you on August 2 in your
